The Short Version

PoliClear analyzes your auto insurance declarations page to give you a plain-English assessment of your coverage. We do not sell your data or share your information with insurance carriers or third parties without your consent. Your document is processed to generate your analysis and is not retained on our servers after that process is complete.

What We Collect

When you use PoliClear, we may collect or temporarily process the following:

• Your declarations page — uploaded as a PDF or entered via onboarding questions, used solely to generate your analysis
• Your email address — if you choose to provide it to receive your full analysis results
• Standard server logs — including IP address, browser type, and request timestamps, collected for operational and security purposes

We do not collect your name, policy number, VIN, or any other personally identifiable information from your declarations page. Our system instructs the AI to strip PII before analysis.

What We Do Not Collect

• We do not store your policy document on our servers after your analysis is generated
• We do not retain your policy number, VIN, or personally identifiable policy details
• We do not use tracking cookies for advertising
• We do not build individual profiles on users
• We do not sell your data to insurance carriers, data brokers, or any third party

How Your Data Is Used

The contents of your uploaded document or onboarding responses are sent to Anthropic's API to generate your PoliClear analysis. Anthropic processes this data under their own privacy and data handling policies. We do not use your policy data for any purpose beyond generating your requested analysis.

If you provide your email address, we will use it to deliver your full analysis results. We may also send you product updates or educational content related to auto insurance. You can opt out of non-transactional emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message we send.

We may use anonymized, aggregated data — information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you — to improve our Services, develop new product features, and produce industry-level insights.

Email and Analysis Delivery

PoliClear may offer a preview of your analysis without requiring an email address. To receive your full analysis, you may be asked to provide your email. By doing so, you consent to us using that email to deliver your results.

We will not share your email address with third parties for their marketing purposes. If PoliClear develops future features that involve storing your analysis results in a retrievable format, we will update this policy and notify you accordingly.

Data Retention

We do not store your policy document or the raw contents of your declarations page beyond what is required to generate your analysis.

If you provide your email address, we retain it for the purpose of delivering your analysis and, if applicable, sending product communications you have consented to receive. You may request deletion of your email at any time by contacting us at privacy@policlear.com.

We retain standard server logs for a limited period for operational and security purposes.

Agent Referrals

PoliClear may present a directory of vetted, licensed insurance agents who can review your analysis and discuss your coverage options. If you choose to contact an agent through this directory:

• We do not share your policy document or analysis results with any agent without your explicit action
• Any information you choose to share with an agent is governed by that agent's own privacy practices
• PoliClear may receive compensation from participating agents or agencies in connection with referrals; this does not affect how your data is handled or the independence of your analysis

Third-Party Services

PoliClear uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Anthropic API — AI analysis engine
• Vercel — hosting infrastructure

These services may process data in accordance with their own privacy policies. No personally identifiable policy data is shared with any third party beyond what is required to generate your analysis.

Your Rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Because we do not retain your policy document after analysis, the primary data we may hold is your email address if you provided one.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of PoliClear after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. If we make a material change to how we handle your data, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you.
